Schwarzer Cardiotek receives government grant to develop noise filtering algorithm utilizing artificial intelligence

Schwarzer Cardiotek GmbH today announced that it has been awarded a research and development grant by the Zentrale Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand (ZIM) a federal program that supports innovation of German technology companies. The grant was awarded for a development project that aims to develop a novel noise filtering technology using artificial intelligence. Electrophysiology procedures can be impaired by interfering noise created from adjacent devices in the cathlab environment. Schwarzer Cardiokek will create an algorithm using artificial intelligence to detect such interferences in its signals. It will then apply a process of continuous learning to predict and filter these signals thereby creating superior, clear signal quality.

With this project we will further enhance our signal quality and thereby deliver even greater precision during diagnostic and therapeutic EP procedures”, explains Frank-Peter Klein, CEO of Schwarzer Cardiotek.
