On Wednesday, 29 November 2023 we participated in the renowned Rhythm Intervention Online Conference (RIO 2023). As part of this top-class event, fascinating live cases were broadcasted from the CCB Frankfurt and other locations.

The presentation of the live cases was in the experienced hands of course co-director Julian Chun and faculty member Boris Schmidt. Together with the CCB Frankfurt team, they presented innovative approaches and latest developments in the field of electrophysiology, especially regarding PFA ablation cases using the EP-TRACER Portable. The event unveiled the seamless synergy between state-of-the-art PFA technology and the remarkable capabilities of EP-TRACER. The live demonstration not only wowed the attendees with its cutting-edge features but also highlighted the tool’s prowess in visualizing intracardiac signals for a permanent pre/post comparison.

We congratulate  Boston Children’s Hospital for the 1st US EP-TRACER ProCart installation. This portable EP recording system, with a built-in stimulator, will be used for pediatric intraoperative conduction system mapping, NICU bedside EP studies, and overflow hybrid cath lab EP mapping.

Main features include a compact footprint, built-in stimulator, intuitive easy-to-use software, upright and eye-level signal analysis and operation, and high signal quality. Portability in EP brings new possibilities for patients.

This is the 2nd EP-TRACER system up and running in Boston. Happy for the pediatric electrophysiologists at Boston Children´s Hospital and congratulations to our  team from Fischer Medical in the US!

This paper strongly advocates the use of an EP system for the procedure – an EP solution such as our EP-TRACER for CSP procedures, which was specifically designed to support these procedures.

The new cardiac catheter measuring station does not only allow to electronically record the vital parameters of the examination, but also to feed the blood pressure data measured in the cavities of the heart into the hospital’s own electronic patient file. This means that all data is directly available for further diagnostics and therapy planning in the clinic.

In a recent comparative study at CCB Frankfurt supported by PD Dr. Boris Schmidt, Prof. Julian Chun and Dr. Stefano Bordignon it could be demonstrated that EP-TRACER nicely fits for use during PFA procedures.

In comparison to the BARD Labsystem Pro it has proven to show high-frequency signals and sharp peaks in an extraordinary distinct fashion, the use of its built-in electrical stimulator for continuous stimulation during the PFA phase was seen as a very favourable feature.  Please find more details here.

The situation in Ukraine has horrified the world. It is more important than ever to show solidarity and humanity. Many of our employees at Schwarzer Cardiotek have already contributed to aiding the Ukrainian people. Now the team has also decided to make our company apartment available to refugees. This past week Katja and her elderly parents were able to move in and the team is supporting them to get situated. We know that given the vastness of need and pain this is only a small contribution but we should make every day count. We stand together as one team providing support wherever possible.
