System ENGINEER (m/f/d)

As a high-tech company with a 70 years long tradition, we develop and produce worldwide leading solutions for medical diagnostics focusing on hemodynamics and electrophysiological measuring stations, as well as data management solutions for the interventional cardiology field.

System Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks

  • Transfer of requirements into specifications and system architectures and implementation of those into the product
  • Creation of system concepts, including schemes, component composition und cabling according to general requirements for basic safety and essential performance of ME Systems
  • Monitoring component availability regarding discontinued or substituted components and compliance with standards in cooperation with Quality Management and production
  • Create installation guides and installation files for use in manufacturing
  • Identification of specifically relevant standards, laws, provisions and requirements
  • Documentation of all process steps according to the requirements for international product certification
  • Transfer of solutions and ideas to patent proposals

Profile

  • Successfully completed degree in computer science, medical or biomedical engineering or similar
  • Relevant professional experience in the development of medical systems and familiar with working with the relevant standards
  • Prior knowledge in the development lifecycle of medical products or systems is an asset
  • Good overview for requirements for development of a holistic product
  • Experienced in working in a regulated industry, preferably in an ISO 13485 certified environment
  • Experienced in working with active medical devices with relevant knowledge of the IEC 60601 standards
  • High technical understanding, especially in computer interfaces and network technology
  • Ability to work in an international team and an independent, structured and precise way of working
  • Good communication skills in at least English and desirably German (B1 or comparable)
